The Freight Details – Estimate dashboard is designed to give visibility into upcoming shipment costs and trends. By reviewing these estimates, you can plan your budget, monitor cost efficiency, and identify areas where actual spend may differ from projections.


Key Forecasting Metrics

  • YTD Estimated Cost: Total projected freight spend for the year-to-date.

  • Total Shipments: Count of estimated shipments recorded in the system.

  • Total Items: Total number of items across all estimated shipments.

  • Estimated Cost per Kg: Average projected cost per kilogram shipped.

  • Estimated Cost per Item: Average cost allocated per individual item in the estimates.

  • Estimated Cost per Shipment: Total estimated cost divided by the number of estimated shipments.


Cost Breakdown Views

  • Carrier Group Estimated Cost: Projected costs segmented by carrier groups, e.g., Road, Air, Express.

  • Carrier Mix Estimated Cost: Distribution of estimated spend across individual carriers.


Visual Charts and Comparisons

  • Shipment Estimate Cost Chart: A bar graph showing how estimated shipment costs have evolved over time.

  • Estimate vs Invoice – Cost per Kg: A comparison of projected vs actual costs per kilogram to measure efficiency.
